Stroke Correction Clinic in Singapore
Led by Coach Lee Yucong — 2004 SEA Age Group Championships Silver Medallist, 50m Butterfly, Singapore
SWIM2000's Stroke Correction Clinic is led by Coach Lee Yucong, who won Silver at the 2004 SEA Age Group Championships in Da Nang, Vietnam competing in the 50m Butterfly for Singapore. His eye for stroke mechanics comes from competing at national level — not from a coaching manual. Sessions run in groups of maximum 4 swimmers at Yishun Swimming Complex and Bukit Canberra Swimming Complex, covering all four strokes, dives, and turns.
Poor technique costs you energy and speed. Even swimmers who have been in the water for years carry ingrained habits that make swimming harder than it needs to be. At SWIM2000, our stroke correction clinic is designed to diagnose those inefficiencies and correct them with targeted coaching.

FAQs – Stroke Correction Clinic
Who is the stroke correction clinic for?
Anyone who can already swim but wants to improve technique and efficiency. Coach Lee Yucong — who represented Singapore at the 2004 SEA Age Group Championships — works with recreational adult swimmers, triathletes preparing for race events, adults who learned as children with poor habits, and competitive swimmers wanting to refine specific strokes. Sessions are capped at 4 swimmers per group for focused individual coaching.
Who teaches the stroke correction clinic?
Coach Lee Yucong leads all stroke correction sessions at SWIM2000. He is a former national-level swimmer who competed in the 50m Butterfly at the 2004 SEA Age Group Championships in Da Nang, Vietnam, winning Silver for Singapore. His coaching background in butterfly — a technically demanding stroke — gives him a specific eye for the inefficiencies that hold recreational swimmers back.
What strokes do you cover?
We cover all four competitive strokes: freestyle (front crawl), backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. We also cover flip turns and open water technique.
How is the clinic structured?
We start with an in-water technique assessment (usually filmed). We then provide specific drills and corrections. Most clinics run over 4–6 sessions, and you will notice measurable improvement.
Can I do a stroke correction clinic at the same time as regular lessons?
Yes, many students combine regular fitness swimming with monthly technique checks. We can customise a package for you.
